Tom Hart joined Shorenstein Company in 1982 as a Vice President. During his tenure at the company, he has held several functional responsibilities and has played a leading role in the company's early development of professional management systems and its fundamental organizational infrastructure. Mr. Hart has also developed buildings for the company in San Francisco and Kansas City, and has been consistently responsible for many of the company's largest leasing transactions. In 2001, Mr. Hart was named Executive Vice President, Senior Investment Manager responsible for the company's development activities, and for overseeing the company's investment in all non-fund assets.
Professional Experience
Prior to joining Shorenstein Company, Mr. Hart spent eight years as Vice President of Development for Marriott International in Washington, D.C. where he was responsible for development, acquisition or joint venture for over 7,000 hotel rooms in 15 properties. In 1972 and 1973, Mr. Hart served as special assistant to President Richard Nixon at The White House.
Education
Mr. Hart graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.S., and from Harvard Business School with an M.B.A.
